Tradestaff Global is seeking Expressions of Interest from skilled tradespeople for upcoming commercial construction projects across remote Pacific Island locations.
Opportunities may come up at short notice or be planned well in advance, so we’re building a strong talent pool of reliable, experienced tradespeople ready to go when projects kick off.

TRADES WE’RE INTERESTED IN HEARING FROM:
We are interested in hearing from qualified and commercially experienced:
- Carpenters
- Electricians
- Plumbers
- Air Conditioning Technicians / HVAC Engineers
- Diesel Mechanics
- Plant Operators (Excavator & Loaders)
- Boiler Makers
You’ll need to be comfortable working across different tasks and adapting to changing site requirements.
THE OPPORTUNITY:
These roles are FIFO-style deployments where you will work intensively on site during your rotation, followed by extended time back home.
While final schedules are yet to be confirmed, rotations may vary depending on project requirements and could include:
- 4 weeks on / 2 weeks off.
- 4 weeks on / 1 week off.
- 3 weeks on / 3 weeks off.
WHAT MAKES THIS DIFFERENT?
Yes - you’ll work hard while on site. But the trade-off is significant time off between rotations, giving you the chance to:
- Spend quality time with family & friends.
- Get stuck into home projects & renovations
- Go fishing, surfing or travel.
- Be present for school holidays, camps & school drop off/pick up.
- Properly reset between work swings.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
We want experienced people who are comfortable working in remote & challenging environments.
You will need to have:
- Relevant trade qualifications and / or licences (where required).
- Proven Commercial experience.
- Ability to work in remote, high-output project environments.
- Solid work ethic, reliability & team mindset.
- Good fitness levels for hot & humid work environments.
- Ability to pass pre-employment checks (medical, drug & alcohol & police checks).
- Full Class 1 NZ Drivers Licence
- Be IT literate, have great attention to detail, follow instructions and be able to handle lots of complicated paperwork.

- Return flights from NZ major airports.
- Accommodation & meals supplied on site.
- Travel insurance & logistics support.
- PPE provided where required.

- Candidates must have a NZ Passport, be currently & permanently based in NZ.
