Tradestaff Global is seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced QUALIFIED PLUMBERS for upcoming commercial construction projects across remote Pacific Island locations.
Opportunities may come up at short notice or be planned well in advance, so we’re building a strong talent pool of reliable, experienced tradespeople ready to go when projects kick off.
THE ROLE:
This is a varied commercial carpentry position on remote island construction projects. Work will include a mix of:
- Commercial new build plumbing installations.
- Maintenance & repair work on existing systems.
- Pipework installation, fit-off & system testing.
- Working across water, waste & general plumbing systems.
- Working within multi-trade teams in remote, logistically challenging environments.
THE OPPORTUNITY:
These are FIFO-style deployments where you will work intensively on site during your rotation, followed by extended time back home.
While final schedules are yet to be confirmed, indicative rotation options may include:
- 4 weeks on / 2 weeks off.
- 4 weeks on / 1 week off.
- 3 weeks on / 3 weeks off.
WHAT MAKES THIS DIFFERENT?
Yes - you’ll work hard while on site. But the trade-off is significant time off between rotations, giving you the chance to:
- Spend quality time with family & friends.
- Get stuck into home projects & renovations
- Go fishing, surfing or travel.
- Be present for school holidays, camps & school drop off/pick up.
- Properly reset between work swings.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
We want experienced Plumbers who are comfortable working in remote & challenging environments.
You will need to have:
- Trade qualification in Plumbing.
- A current NZ Plumbing Licence (essential).
- Strong commercial construction experience.
- Ability to work in remote, high-output project environments.
- Solid work ethic, reliability & team mindset.
- Good fitness levels for hot & humid work environments.
- Ability to pass pre-employment checks (medical, drug & alcohol & police checks).
- Full Class 1 NZ Drivers Licence
